Our Story
Where Swahili soul meets coastal calm.
Musituni was born from a love of Diani's turquoise waters, whispering palms, and the timeless warmth of Kenyan hospitality.
The Name
About Musituni Luxury Villas
The name Musituni comes from the abundant trees and nature that still define this place today. The land was once covered in dense indigenous coastal forest — rich with tropical vegetation, towering palms, and the kind of greenery that makes the area unmistakably lush. Even after development, those trees and that tropical vegetation remain all around the property.
That natural character became the identity of the property. Musituni was chosen to honor the landscape: a place where trees and nature are abundant, and where the spirit of the coast lives on through the gardens and greenery that guests still experience every day.

The Vision
A refined coastal retreat rooted in nature.
The development focused on maintaining harmony with the environment — integrating greenery, open spaces, and natural textures into the design of the villas. This approach ensured that even as the property evolved into a luxury destination, it still reflected the essence of its original identity.
From this vision, Musituni Luxury Villas was born — a refined coastal retreat that carries forward the meaning of its name while offering guests comfort, privacy, and a seamless connection between modern living and nature.
Today, Musituni offers studio to four bedroom villas, each designed with hand carved Swahili doors, soaring makuti ceilings, and private terraces that open onto tropical gardens and our signature pool.
